How to submit your organization to Extending the Circle

Providing exposure to nonprofits working to uplift women, promote women’s status, and bring the qualities of women into the world.

It’s easy to submit an organization to be profiled at Extending the Circle.

Please contact me if you have questions along the way (skype: manjulakoza, kmk@kozacommunications.com, or mobile 1.720.217.8819)

Click here to download this information as a MS Word document.

If you work with the organization you want to submit:

  • Read the information below.
  • Contact me if you have questions.
  • Write your answers to the questions (either in an email or on the downloadable MS Word document template).
  • Email your answers to me, with some suggested times when you’re available to skype or phone!
  • I’ll talk with you before publishing the profile.

If you want to suggest an organization, but don’t represent the organization:

  • Read the information below.
  • Decide how you think it would be best to complete the connection between Extending the Circle and the organization you suggest. There are two ways to do this. You can:
  • Email or show your contact (if you have one) at the organization the information about Extending the Circle, and have that person contact me; OR
  • Contact me and give me the name of the organization, the website address, and, ideally, the name, email, and phone number of the person at the organization who handles communications, PR, or the executive director/head of the organization, as well as your contact info.
  • I’ll call or email you before contacting the organization directly.

About Extending the Circle:

Extending the Circle‘s mission is to provide media exposure to nonprofits working to uplift women, promote women’s status, and bring the qualities of women into the world.

A pro bono project with limited resources, Extending the Circle profiles only nonprofits (those organizations having 501(c)3 status in the United States, or the corresponding status in the nonprofit’s home country). Organizations and individuals not holding registered nonprofit status (or actively working to attain nonprofit status) won’t be profiled in the Extending the Circle series.

Please read more about Extending the Circle at the original post.

Format

Extending the Circle asks a set of questions designed to evoke a sense of the organization, its people, and its mission, as well as basic information about how the greater community can contact and help the group.

Answers are posted on Pointing to the Moon as part of the Extending the Circle series. Our goal is to publish one profile a week. Once the information is published, the profile is publicized through standard social networking circuits, connections with women’s media, and other venues. Of course, groups profiled at Extending the Circle can freely use and share the profile, and journalists enquiring about the organization through Pointing to the Moon / Kelly Manjula Koza are encouraged to contact the organizations directly for more information.
